the problem is in the video card phantoms, Its can even work with a 128 mb video ram memory ,its the speed of renderizing ,the images are big for better quality details , try something for me please , download any of the other models the Saab 340, the Citation 500 or Citation X and tell me does it shows like this too? I been suspecting that problably something whent wrong (maybe is just a posibiliity) I being watching too many people with this same issue ,I promise I will help you with this airplane go to our Downlaod section and pic any one of the one I mention above that has also 2048x2048 dds bitmaps www.simviation.com/fsnd/Downloads.htmI be waiting you reply Alejandro Rojas L. Alejandro, the Saab displays fine. Here's a pic I cropped of it from my FSX: Here's a link to the uncropped printscreen of it (Warning, it's a pretty big file as it shows both my monitors desktops when I hit PrtScr): home.comcast.net/~jsavga//temp/saab.jpg

You can open the textures with DXTBmp, "send them to the editor", and resize them.. but puting them all back together (with alphas etc) is tricky. If this interests you.. I'd advise that you start simple, and learn basic FSX repainting techniques.. It's more tedious than difficult, but a lot of fun .. Brett, I played around with it last night with very mixed results. I kept the files DDS, but resized the textures to 1024x1024. A little less transparent, but still see-through. I might have to try converting them to DXT3, but I understand there's a lot more involved to do that. My vid card is a Radeon X1950Pro with 256MB ram, my system has 3GB Ram. It may just be not enough video memory with the card for all the textures, as other than the memory the card is a pretty decent card even by todays standards.

Ok, One last favour ,the difference between the Saab and the C310 is that I apply Bright shine , You are making me a favor ,the Citation X also has shine apply ,Sorry to bother you but this is important to me and Brett , (I may have to fix this and release and update ) this is something I didn't realize until now , Please download the citation X, wait 20 Minutes I will upload a direct zip to Our server so you will download faster of the Citation X ,give me 20 minutes then start to download it shout be a straight zip download.. this is really important

Alejandro, I spoke too soon on the saab. I loaded it up, took a tour around the outside making capturing a few pictures. Then I got to thinking maybe the second display being on might be eating some graphics resources, so I disabled it and loaded the 310q back up with same results. I then went back to the Saab and switched to cockpit view where the problem appeared. On the Saab, he exterior is fine, but the cockpit is transparent. On the Cessna, it's the other way around.
I've tried turning everything down in game and making adjustments in the graphics driver, but it makes no difference.
I'm downloading the CitationX now and will report on it once I have it loaded up in game.

The X1950 is a woefully inadequate card for FSX.. it only has 4 pixel pipelines.. even an OLD GF7600 has 16 12 pipelines.. This is the source of these problems..

Here's a link to my card: www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814241049this might have been overlooked too.. Do you have FSX updated to SP2 ? Yep, Deluxe Version SP2. No Acceleration though.

Ah.. ok.. my mistake.. But I still can't imagine that this is anything other than a card issue... and I remember another guy with a X1950 having problems..
Have you tried the latest drivers for the card, and a current BIOS flash for the M-board ? I had an FSX issue that was fixed by a m-board flash.

Ok the issue fortunately is in you system ,To fix (or try ) I will get the textures smaller of the c310q and Ill link it to you, I haven't heard any complaint of the Saab,It should be also transparent in the fuselage ,all the planes were make in Our machines with the same O/S ,and the one who supposed to have all the issues should be the Citation X who has 3 2048x2048 images ,the others has 1 each ..this is weird but one thing is clear to me its that the C310 is fine I'm getting out to make the work for you of the C310

I'm thinking it's a Vid Card issue too. I do have the latest drivers 9.3. My system is a little older and this was the last purchase I made for it. It could be that it's AGP bus instead of PCI-e and that has something to do with it. It still runs many games decent (play a lot of COD5), but a new system is in my future.
