Thank you for doing this, and I would say it's great, except I can't get it to work.

I downloaded the file off of simviation and ran the installer after backing up the original 747 file. It said it downloaded succesfully but when I went into FSX and tried loading up the plane, I got an error saying the model couldn't be loaded. After looking in the b747 folder in Simobjects-Airplanes, I saw the .air file was not in the folder. After moving the .air file from the backed up 747 folder, I no longer got the "Model could not be loaded" error, but instead I got a fatal error. I'm Vista... Thanks.

make sure you are downloading my file

if it someone its re-uploading the file to be use in another exterior model file was without my permition

If you did ,the *.air file wasn't touch in fact my autoinstal won't touch your original *.air file at all

it will replace the b747 interior.mdl the aircraft.cfg and some of the panel folder files

Ok ,also and just in case, you are not supposed to remove the file b747-400 out of the aircraft folder you make a copy for back up ,the autoinstall will just replace some files not install the 747

Hi, first of all my compliments for your work to get alife the Default planes.

Downloaded both 747 + 737. with FSX everything OK.

There is one Problem:
The CAPIN LIGHT with the 747-400 VC is not opening. Cannot see the overhead panel. The instruments only are illuminated.

Is there a way to Fix it ?

I don't understand your question..
how can you open a light?

If you press "L" all the light will be ON ,and this is where the Cabin Light switch Is

Yes I know for sure that but the Cabin VC light is not working. Not with the 'L' key or the single switch Buttons that on new on the overhead panel.

I also checked with a external program that is connecting via FSUIPC with all FS functions.

As I said, only the Instruments-Lights are on.

The Cabin-Light switch on the overhead is showing the Tooltip 'Cabin light' when i thouch it with the mouse.

Now, i did not download from Simaviation as mentioned above on a previous Post but my download is the complete 747-400 with the changes and is installing without overwriting anything as it is using a different name:

The b747-400 is installed with the name: B747-443 Advanced VC
by 'Opensky' where your changes are explained and mentioned.

The panel folder has 2 Sub-Dir:
- B737-800 (the 747 is using some gauge-calls)
- Boeing747-400 with the Cab content
I check the XML files. I did non find any reference to the CABIN Switch.

There is just something missing or not connected.
Where could i find it and correct ?

I fully understand you. Just could you explain me how could i know about ? A part of that there is mentioned as Authors:
Opensky, indicating: advanced virtual cockpit amended by Alejandro Rojas Lucena (Alrot) ecc....

Im not saying its your fault friedrich ,this and the 737 all over the web in posky and some other models upload it by other people ,I really don't mind at all ,what bothers me a little bit its the fact that they do the trick and they don't even do it well ,like for example the Sounds GPWS are not in the package ,and sometimes they don't even bother to also include the original texture folder (I made also night textures for it)

there's been many complaints about both 737 and 747 Upgraded cockpit in my email and those 100% has to be with the fact that someone else repackage and Upload it using another exterior model ,I did once a modification for "someone else Miistake"

but I wont do that anymore ,I'l fix or respond whatever my Original package problem may have ,but not someone else work

Fortuanly a and at least the keep my name on these models however there's a poligon water mark with my name in the left side of the pilot window outside (a reminder that It can't be erase that II did this model )

As i said i downloaded your original and installed. it is working perfectly with all lights ecc.. what i did is installaing different MFD + PDF Instruments.

I have one question about gpws, is it posible to add new functions, like 5.000 ft, 10.000 ft or gps located aiport ? if not, are there some other options ?

That would be a little bit complex especially if you don't have a little bit of knowledge

to modify and add another voice inication would have to modify the file Sound.ini

Lvar??=GPWS_Sound_5000 <---like this for exampe to add a new altitude

and create and add the sound in*.wav format

Sound??=./Sound/GPWSalrot747vc/theSoundThatWouldCallYourAltitude.wav,100

this is a package instaled in the main sound folder , you literally can make call of almost everything,in the airport ,in the air ,but you need some knowledge in the SDK all the FSX variables

I try to change the two lines and add new line in GPWS3_3_Default in no 8 but it didnt help.
I really dont know how to make it work, I will appreciate if you could tell me step by step how to do it, it will make the game more fun
