I have been an FSX user for a couple of years. A few months ago I decided to try X-plane, v9.62. I guess I fell for their hipe about Microsoft firing all their staff and Users switching to X-plane. I was just wondering if anyone else out there had tried X-plane and what your opinions about it was. I found several things I did not like comparing it to FSX. I was in contact several times with one of the actual developers of X-plane so I was able to really get into the nuts and bolts of it. His answer to most of my problems was wait for v10 but could not speculate on v10 actually solving the issues I discovered. I am back to FSX for good and told them that. I also recently heard about Microsoft Flight coming out. I was glad to hear something else is coming down the road. Would love to hear about anyone else's experience on X-plane or what you may have heard about the new Microsoft Flight coming soon.
