Hi there,
I've been flying this upgraded FSX 737 around. It's really great, I've enjoyed it a lot.
I'm very curious as to how the VC autobrake knob was fixed. It rotates in this VC, but not the default.
I took a close look at the xml files within the modified CAB as against the default and there didn't seem to be any changes there in relation to the autobrake.
Was the fix to this as a result of a change in the interior model (VC)?
If so, could you give me a basic explanation of how that works? I haven't done any xml gauge programming or virtual cockpit work, but it is something that interests me and I might get to it in the future. If you don't wish to explain it to me, can you point me to any helpful resources on the internet that can help me understand?
Thank you! Keep up the great work!
Trent

Hi Alejandro,
I've been doing some digging around and read some tutorials and while I'm no expert, it's become clear to me that the way you fixed the autobrake in the virtual cockpit was through the B737_800_interior.mdl. I'm reminded as I've played around with this that you never stop learning in this hobby!
I also want to thank you for taking the time to create this upgrade. You've done a very very fine job. You obviously have a lot of skill in this area and I'm envious of you. I'm getting a lot of enjoyment out of this upgrade.
I have a couple of suggestions (and I have no idea of how easy or difficult these are to coordinate or implement): 1) Have the autobrake in the VC stop as each level (RTO, 0, 1, 2 3, 4). I believe this is a known issue, so that means you probably aren't able to do anything about this. 2) Incorporate the taxi/landing light fix that Aaron Parsons resolved (fsx_b737-800_fixer). This fix allows the taxi light and landing lights to work independently. Obviously you would have to ask Aaron Parsons permission and I don't know how easy that would be to obtain. 3) Incorporate the various panel fixes in the b738panelfix_v11 by Stefano Cerutti and others. Again, I don't know how difficult it would be to obtain their permission.
Anyhow thank you again so much for the work that you have put into this very fine piece of freeware for the flightsim community.
Kind regards,
Trent
