Thanks very much for this. I ran into some rain last night in Montreal and needed those wipers on final. They cleaned the windshield nicely...very effect. cheers, Greg

After installing the cockpit, I get a fatal error when I try to launch FSX, and have to close the program. I have tried it with installing the patch just after installing the cockpit, and with installing the cockpit without the patch. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, I was looking forward to having a better 737-800 default cockpit, this one looks really nice. I get the following message in my event viewer: Log Name: Application Source: Application Error Date: 2/24/2012 2:54:56 PM Event ID: 1000 Task Category: (100) Level: Error Keywords: Classic User: N/A Computer: Don-PC Description: Faulting application name: fsx.exe, version: 10.0.61637.0, time stamp: 0x46fadb14 Faulting module name: GPWS_Sound.GAU, version: 3.2.0.0, time stamp: 0x42604ebb Exception code: 0xc0000005 Fault offset: 0x000035a8 Faulting process id: 0xda8 Faulting application start time: 0x01ccf336876b867a Faulting application path: H:\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\fsx.exe Faulting module path: H:\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\SimObjects\Airplanes\B737_800\panel\GPWS_Sound.GAU Report Id: ce2369fd-5f29-11e1-a03d-001fbc0296dd Event Xml: <Event xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/win/2004/08/events/event"> <System> <Provider Name="Application Error" /> <EventID Qualifiers="0">1000</EventID> <Level>2</Level> <Task>100</Task> <Keywords>0x80000000000000</Keywords> <TimeCreated SystemTime="2012-02-24T20:54:56.000000000Z" /> <EventRecordID>69618</EventRecordID> <Channel>Application</Channel> <Computer>Don-PC</Computer> <Security /> </System> <EventData> <Data>fsx.exe</Data> <Data>10.0.61637.0</Data> <Data>46fadb14</Data> <Data>GPWS_Sound.GAU</Data> <Data>3.2.0.0</Data> <Data>42604ebb</Data> <Data>c0000005</Data> <Data>000035a8</Data> <Data>da8</Data> <Data>01ccf336876b867a</Data> <Data>H:\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\fsx.exe</Data> <Data>H:\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\SimObjects\Airplanes\B737_800\panel\GPWS_Sound.GAU</Data> <Data>ce2369fd-5f29-11e1-a03d-001fbc0296dd</Data> </EventData> </Event>

I've installed the cockpit, but the GPWS only calls out "Sink rate" and "Pull up." How do I make the other sounds work?

Alejandro, let me first thank you for this outstanding and high quality add-on. It has enhanced the default 738 so much that its like flying a new aircraft. I do have one question concerning the GPWS though. I tend to descend at a fairly rapid rate >-2500 fpm and the constant advisory alarm regarding my excessive sink rate is becoming just a bit too much. I've looked in the sound folder for the particular controlling file but couldn't find it. I'm pretty familiar with modding fsx aircraft, so if you could just point me in the right direction in terms of locating the file or adjusting the value which activates that particular warning, that would be great. Again, awesome job on the enhanced VC, and thanks for your hard work sir.

Sir, thank you very much for your informative and prompt reply. I'm actually trying to disable the warning which activates whenever you exceed -2500 fpm descent rate, since I do that a lot. I want to be able to keep the height call outs (500, 100, 50, etc), if possible. I'm not sure if I can alter that file in a way so as to permit the call outs yet deactivate the sink rate type warning. If not, maybe I can change the threshold for that particular warning, like setting the necessary sink rate at -3200 instead of -2500. Any ideas or advice would be greatly appreciated and in the meantime I'll see if I can't alter it on my own. Thanks again!

OK I've deleted the WAVE file "sinkrate", which should do the trick. I'll let you know how it goes after my next flight tonight.

Alejandro,
If I could trouble you briefly once more sir, it seems as though the use of the windshield wipers while landing with the new rain effects causes fsx to crash whenever I land using my virtual airlines tracking system. I've looked for the new rain texture that you've added, but have been unable to find it. Could you tell me where this file is located or if I can alter these effects by deleting a file? BTW, I love the windshield rain effect, but it does seems to cause some conflict with my tracking system, so I'm afraid I'll have to remove it somehow. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you sir.
