white smoke 707

I've noticed that my 707 is producing white smoke. Although I'm not that old, I seem to remember the smoke used to be black... How can I change this?
By the way, it's a truly superb aircraft!

I try to emulate a few smoke on each engine and I attach a smoke FX poligon ,it supposed to be white like vapor trail , no black something and add.on FX was add it into you main effect folder and change it into black.
I thinking to update this airplane without the copilot and fix few other things I want to fix including to remove those smokes (that was a bad idea) but will be by the next year

the smoke Normally it has to be white as I set it ,not black

I really don't know teacher ,there are texture for every single effect of fSX ,would you take a shot for me of the plane in a low altitude and posted here You can use the uploader images Above or here

if doen't look like this I would like to see what type of smoke did it switch into,could be also the FSX.CFG too

I'll leave it as is, I think. The smoke resembles the upper image. Another question though, when the plane is all fuelled up and filled with pax, it still accelerates like a bat out of hell and I get overspeed warnings in no time. Is this normal behaviour?

There are always compromises, but with the old 707 the over-thrust was a real issue. It's like those old turbo-jets had power to spare, but at 100% thrust, they didn't last long.. and could "rocket" the plane if asked to. Piloting the 707 (especially this one), means strict thrust management.. (especially if you plan to cross an ocean without in-flight refueling).

A normal takeoff, at Vy; ~80% N1 yields a pretty realistic experience.. and just like any jet.. you're WELL under 100% power until above 10,000msl (250kias)...

Thanks for the in depth reply Brett! I'm learning every day. I was under the impression that those turbojets did'nt have much power at all. By the way, I was searching around the VC for a control to jettison fuel. Is there any?
